Goldmember
hope he outs himself and the others he knows about so we can get this steroid s*** dealt with and put behind us...
SoxFanForever
He doesn't look so good in that picture they have of him now.
Yoda
From ESPN: Duck and cover from Giambi (Click link to read full article). When asked -- point blank -- if he used steroids: "That's something I can't talk about."
DonkeyKongerko
QUOTE(Yoda @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) From ESPN: Duck and cover from Giambi (Click link to read full article). That's just stupid. Why call a press conference and apologize if you can't admit what you did wrong except through leaked grand jury testimony? Baseball already has enough issues that we don't need players like him further tainting its image.

I bet the media's pretty pissed, this thing got pretty hyped up for Giambi to really say nothing new. Oh well, I can't say I feel bad for the media. However, I don't think it's going to help, he's going to get booed like crazy in NY and on the road
DonkeyKongerko
I usually don't boo baseball players but guys who are on steroids deserve to be booed. And to think, all the Black Sox did was take some extra cash. They are heroes compared to these meatsocks.

That is a HUGE difference to me. Doesn't mean I like the cheaters at all, but they didn't throw games.
YASNY
Interesting bit of information that has come out of this Giambi thing. When Giambi was negotiating the deal with Yankees, he or his agent specifically asked for all references to steroids be stricken from the language guaranteeing the deal. In other words, the Yankees agreed to take that out of the contract. If a player asks to do that, what would you think? The Yankees are as much to blame in this scenario as Giambi. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why they asked for that language to be removed.

YAS, I did hear that there is some verbage in there that if he admits in public to using that the Yanks can void the deal. Since the GJ testimony is sealed and protected that can't be used against him in regards to contract stuff with the Yanks.. which is why he's not making any statements such as "I did use them".. in the public. Have you heard anything like that..?

marsh
He should have brought his MVP award to the press conference and handed it over to Frank.
