AddisonStSox
Disclaimer: If you are sick and tired of hearing about Mozilla's Firefox, this thread isn't for you; if you'd like to help a fellow poster out, please read on. For those of you using Firefox: Are you satisfied? Is it worth switching over from Internet Explorer? I've heard nothing but great things and I've been thinking very seriously about switching over. Although I'm pretty satisified with Explorer, the pop ups and third party software are overwhelming (even with Google's pop up blocker). Do I make the switch? greasywheels121
The only problem I've had w/ Firefox is it doesn't mark posts as read some reason for me after I view them. I don't know what that's about.

greasywheels121
I think it's only me though, b/c whenever I ask someone about it they have no clue what I'm talking about. However, after I read a post or something, the thread still acts like it has new posts in it.

Goober
there's also an adjustment you can make to it so it runs faster, since i've heard people complain about the speed

BridgeportHeather
The one thing I don't like about Firefox is that it disables various HTML properties, which means I can't see things such as blinking stuff and scrolling marquees. DonkeyKongerko
IE is faster because Windows operating system preloads alot of the libraries it needs to run by default. There's no real way for Firefox to compete with that. It's solid on its own.
Goober
are you talking about web pages loading slow?
shagar69
firefox is awesome. Those bs toolbars that show up on IE cant do the same with firefox. What i really love is the tabs feature, which is way better than opening new windows
aboz56
For limiting spyware and pop-ups, it's well worth it. BTW, I am running it and I've not noticed anything running slow whatsoever. It's just as fast, if not faster, than IE for me.

It's solid...You can't get rid of IE anyway..it's integrated so deeply into windows...but some sites require IE, but there is a right-click option 'Open link target in IE" which is good.. Plus the tab browsing is great. Although i did also download Opera and it has alot of the same features as Fire Fox, but they got more themes and stuff like that..Fire Fox needs more themes.
