southsider2k5 Posted February 22, 2005 Share Posted February 22, 2005 Chris Young got added to the Spring Training roster per whitesox.com Minor league outfielders Chris Young and Jerry Owens both were added to the Spring Training roster Monday. Owens was acquired from Washington in the trade for Alex Escobar just three days before pitchers and catchers reported, while Young hit .262 with 24 home runs and 56 RBIs for Class A Kannapolis in 2004. Young led the Intimidators in games (135), triples (five), home runs, stolen bases (31), runs scored (83), total bases (235), walks (66) and strikeouts (145).
