Right now my Benton Central Bison are leading the state in stolen bases with around 60 (cant remember exact number) through 7 games. Last weekend we had 26 SB's in a doubleheader vs Tipton.

For some reason I find that hard to beleive. :huh

  • 2 weeks later...

Well, we won 2 in a row vs Hyde Park and Curie then we lost to Morgan Park again yesterday. Our record is 3-8. Well, I didn't go to school Friday so I couldn't start Saturday. Our pitcher suckd it up in the 1st and 3rd innings giving up 4 and 5 runs respectively. Coach decideds to put me in to pitch in the 4th, down 9-6. I pitch 4 innings, giving up 2 runs, 1 un-earned, walking 2 guys and striking out 6. Our offense blew because for some dumbass reason he had EVERYBODY on the team bunting all game! We ended up losing 11-9. Our last regular season game is Tuesday vs Hubbard, our only night game. We beat the, 17-2 last time and hopefully I got the ball. PLAY BALL!

We went 0-3 last week. Lost the first game 3-1 with our ace on the mound. I started the next game going 5 innings and giving up 1 run, 2 hits, and 4 K's. To bad it was 1-1 when I left, it stayed 1-1 all the way to extras in the 9th. We got one run and we thought we had it won. We go into the bottom half and they got a runner on first, 2 out, 0-2 count, and our relief pitcher gives up a game winning homer. Pissed me off and the rest of the team. Then we played in a game when it poured the whole time. No one really cared we jsut wanted to go home.

Record: 7-3

For all of the old men like me out there... lets hear about Softball!!!

Our season starts off tonight and I can't wait.  We played a practice game after field clean ups on Saturday and I was on base 5 times.  Midseason form baby.

I expect nothing less than a .700 OBP.

I hit over .750 last year, but only took two walks. All-star SS for the 2nd year in a row :headbang. I might switch to short center this year, as it looks like we might have a better defensive SS coming back from a few years ago.

What's wrong with softball? SS2K5 is what, 30ish? Softball is (rightly so) the game of choice for around that age and up.

Anyway, softball is pretty cool. For the younger male types, baseball is where it's at, but once you hit 25-30 or so, bring me the softball!

I'm not the one who thinks infinity is spelled "affinity" (Which is a completely different word by the way). And if you did mean affinity...your sentence makes no sense.

Anyways, enough of the little spat, now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Did you not see Napoleon Dynamite????? If so, let me refresh your memory. If not, let me enlighten you:

Deb: "And here we have some boondoggle keychains...a must have for this season's fashions."

Napoleon: "Nah, I already made like, affinity, of those at scout camp!"

Nah, can't say I did. I hear it's good though.

Anyways, just saying I don't appreciate being called an idiot (joking or not) when it was completely unprovoked.

Anyways, I'm not gonna say anything else about this, no reason to dilute the thread more.

Our season is done. Top 7, we score 5 runs to take an 11-10 lead and going into the bottom of the 7th, I was SUPPOSED to come in for the save but he decided to let the starter go all 7.......3rd batter, GW 2-run HR.

Your coach left the starter in to give up 12 runs??? Wow what a jagbag.

Yes, this is true. Our coach is horrible.....best part of the season is that the team is going to a group-outing Sox game! :headbang :gosox3:

I'm having such a good year a sophomore I have been picked to go to Florida  this summer in a bunch of Former Major Leaguers showcase camp.  Also will be playing in the Colt World Series on the Hoosier North team.
