Got news from Japan that he's on his way over right now. According to a report he's gonna try to go the other way a lot so he's ordered many custom made bats that are .5 inches longer than he's used to. Also plans to run a lot so he has also order some special spikes to help give him an edge.

Good to know. Thanks for the info.

Very interesting.  Out of curiousity, does anyone know about his bunting skills?  Can he sac bunt or drag bunt?

He could sac bunt if the game really depended on it, but don't expect him to do it too often. He's a righty so no drag bunt.

Caruso was a switch-hitter (or switch non-hitter, to be precise) I believe.

Hit the big lefty home run into the wire cage at Wrigley for his career highlight.

Isn't Iguchi scheduled to be in Tucson with everybody else today?

Don't be raggen on my boy Caruso, he had 1 good year.

Caruso did have a good rookie year. -- despite the 35 or so errors. Caruso's rocky infield play is what led to the Jose Jose Jose Era.

But the Sox probably rushed his development and in the end, that didn't help him.

He seemed to lose confidence quickly and it always seemed like Sox management never thought he picked up on the mental part of the game.

Not even sure if he is still playing -- and he's probably not even 30 yet.

Sort of related, I expect the Sox to draft a shortstop fairly high this year.

What happened to The 1st rounder,Jason Dallareo? I remember there was supposed to be the big SS battle between he and Caruso to see was going to be the future there. Was he even a Septemeber call-up?
