knightni
http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slug=insi...v=tsn&type=lgns All the way at the bottom of the Josh Smith article.... Another guy who is likely to be in play for this year's draft is Illinois G Deron Williams. He is a junior, but a source says he already has decided he will hire an agent and leave school. One scout estimates that Williams will land in the middle of the first round, between picks 15 and 25.

Kalapse
I wouldn't take him in the first round. He's an early 2nd rounder at the highest IMHO.
WHarris1
God damnit. Oh well, can't say it was un expected. Ahh, Deron you will be missed. Make your last year one to remember, and go out on top. Edited February 21, 2005 by WHarris1

Agreed. I think he is a bit overrated.
WHarris1
Nope, he's gonna be a good NBA point. He already has the NBA court vision, if he develops his jumper a little more he'll be damn good.

Kalapse
Let's assume the Net's keep Kidd like it looks they're going to do. Why would they take a PG with the #10 pick they have other holes they need to fill.
SoxFanForever
QUOTE(rangercal @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 09:39 PM) nbadraft.net has deron going # 10 and luther going # 40 It also has the Bulls drafting another High School guy which I really doubt Pax will be doing any time soon. That kinda loses credibility with me after seeing that.

At this point they aren't looking at needs or whose picking where. That and the Bulls don't have a draft pick.
SnB
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) If the Illini get knocked out early of the tourney, then I expect that Deron and Dee will both be back. If the make it the Final 4, or win the whole thing, he books. i honestly think dee will stay no matter what.
WHarris1
Both draftcity.com and nbadraft.net have Deron top 10, but I'm sure everyone here knows more then them.
knightni
The Bulls wouldnt pass up Turiaf for a high schooler. Turiaf would fit in well as a rebounding defender at PF.

Kalapse
The Bulls don't have a 1st round pick this year. They traded it to Phoenix for the rights to Luol Deng.

WHarris1
QUOTE(Tmar28 @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 03:45 PM) deron could be the next Quentin Richardson ROFL, except he isn't a selfish whore that jacks 9 threes a game.
whitesoxfan99
QUOTE(Soxnbears01 @ Feb 21, 2005 -> 03:43 PM) i honestly think dee will stay no matter what. I do too, but only because as much as I love Dee as a college player I don't think he has anything close to an NBA game at this point in time. His shooting is there and he plays very good defense, but at his height he really needs to show that he can run a team and consistently get into the paint to create for others as well as occasionally finish inside in the half court.
