Punch and Judy Garland
I think Dee and Deron are both gone. I don't know what the Q ripping is all about. I'd be willing to bet that Phoenix as a team shoots mroe shots than most teams, and a big part of their game (outside of Amare) is from downtown. I think it's also foolish to call Deron a 2nd round pick. It';s not like he's chris duhon. He has a league body.
backman
i say dee stays around for another year, while deron goes late first round and head goes second round.
IlliniKrush
"90/10" Dee comes back. Quote from him.
Punch and Judy Garland
Yeah Carmelo Anthony said he wasn't leaving too. It doesn't mena much until the emotion of the season is passed, imo.
IlliniKrush
Carmelo was much more equipped to leave than Dee. And he won a national championship. That's a terrible comparison.
Chisoxmatt
QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 03:57 PM) Carmelo was much more equipped to leave than Dee. And he won a national championship. That's a terrible comparison. Well lets say Dee and the Illini dont win a national championship this year. Dee might have no desire to stay because they arent going to win anything next year. Thats the only scenario i can think of. He probably would stay anyway because he isnt quite ready for the NBA yet IMO.
Punch and Judy Garland
I'm sorry Krush that my comp skills aren't up to your approval. Dee is going to be a much better pro than people around here realize. Nobody thought Boykins or Luke Ridnour would be productive pros and they have been. Dee is going to be a pretty good point guard in the league. The point of bringing up Carmelo is that it doesn't matter what a guy says until it's time to make the decision. I agree that the tourney outcome may influence Brown. I just htink with HEad and Williams leaving, Dee is going to realize that it's time to get out. qwerty
QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Feb 22, 2005 -> 09:35 PM) Nobody thought Boykins or Luke Ridnour would be productive pros and they have been. You sure about that?
IlliniKrush
90/10, out of his mouth, talk all you want P&J Garland. He knows he needs to prove himself more anyway. And if you actually believed Carmelo back then, i have some AOL stock i'd like to sell you.
GoodAsGould
Yeah Carmelo could of played basketall at a high level straight out of high school it isnt the same case for dee Brown who knows his best basketball is most likely going to be in his college years.
