rangercal
I cant think of who he most compares to. He does not and never will have MJ's D He will have a bigger role than Vinnie Johnson ever did. He has a better jump shot than AI . all comparisons welcome. AngelasDaddy0427
I think as time goes on he could become an Allen Iverson type player. However he will never be another Micheal Jordon and would be ridiculous to expect that of him.
DBAHO
Right now I'd probably say Ray Allen, minus the cancer.
UofIChiSox
I think he has aspects of Jordan's game more than aspects of any of these other guys. Similar position, HUGE CLUTCH FACTOR. I don't think he's the caliber or even on pace to become the caliber of Michael Jordan, but nobody has made the types of plays Gordon is making for the Bulls since Jordan left. southsider2k5
Vinnie Johnson is a real good comparison. He has some huge 4th quarters, but because of his defensive short comings, he couldn't really play a whole game, and was much more valuable coming off of the bench and lighting up a second string, or hitting the court in the 4th Q fresh, while his defenders were nearing 40 minutes on the floor. YASNY
Jordan was one of a kind. Period. Any comparisons of Jordan to anyone on a basketball court are ridiculous.
Credepopsup
From my limited looks at him, I'd say that he's more of a Gilbert Arenas type of player.. ..Although Gordon's well ahead of where Arenas was at this stage of their careers. DBAHO
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Feb 24, 2005 -> 02:44 AM) Vinnie Johnson is a real good comparison. The thing is, is Gordon good enough to overcome his shortcomings to be the 40 minute starter that'll probably bolt him to stardom?
southsider2k5
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 09:59 AM) The thing is, is Gordon good enough to overcome his shortcomings to be the 40 minute starter that'll probably bolt him to stardom? Not unless he leaves the Bulls or Hinrich gets dealt for a big 2 guard. With the Bulls back court as it is now, there isn't room for 80 minutes of 2 6'2" guards per game. Especially with Skiles, they have got to be able to defend.

rangercal
Id say he could be a combo of the 3. MJ's icewater in his vains in crunch time. Vinnies explosive streaks. AI's ball handling, speed , moves. and to include Ray allen, very comparable in 3 pt % . and creating his own shot.

qwerty
I think when i tis all said and down with gordon will be a michael finley type player. Both are and can be explosive scorers. Neither do anything well but that. Both have bad defense and that is probally an understatement. Niether get assists/steals/ pass well, etc. Both can shoot free throws pretty well, throw down, drible well ( well not so much for finley now). Only glaring difference i see so far is turning the ball over. Edited February 23, 2005 by qwerty
ChWRoCk2
i chose other and he reminds me of a young latrell sprewell, both came off the bench in the beginning of their careers and sprewel sort of shot just as wel as gordon now is

Sprewell has also never shot over 40% from the three point line. Gordon is yet to choke anyone or complain he does not get paid enough to feed his family. Yeah, everytime I read something DBAH0 says about the NBA it's purely awful. Sorry dibs, you have no idea what you are talking about. I think he is closest to Allen Iverson. Anyone who voted Jordan deserves to be shot for stupidity. I'm so sick of these Jordan comparisons. Give me a break!!!
