hammerhead johnson
That's what Rick Telander is saying right now. Has anyone else heard anything?
southsider2k5
Ouch. That makes the East WIDE open.
Jordan4life_2007
I heard he was out for tonight. I haven't heard anything about him being out for the season. That's horrible, if true.
qwerty
It is fake. They got it from this article and almost quoted it word for word. He isn't even having the mri until tomorrow. http://miami.dolem.com/mld/miamiherald/sports/10968685.htm

Heat fans have heard nothing about it in miami so i am definitely calling bulls***.
hammerhead johnson
Vasko (score update guy) just said: Miami Herald reported that Shaq is out for the season with ligament damage, but the team has yet to release anything. WilliamTell
I hope he gets back soon for the NBA's sake. I like watchin him play.
Palehosefan
I'm hoping its just a slight sprain of a ligament and it gives more incentive to sign Alonzo. If it truly ends up being a ligament tear of some kind, that could spell doom for Shaq's career for a while. I can't imagine the weight he would/could gain back if he can't workout at all. Palehosefan
Speaking of the Heat, according to ESPNInsider, the Heat are very close to acquiring Steve Smith from the Bobcats. Apparently looking for some instant offense off the bench and maybe another clubhouse leader on a young laden team. Either that or Eddie Jones is getting lonely in the "aged, declining, SG role"
Yoda
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 03:27 PM) I hope he gets back soon for the NBA's sake. I like watchin him play. I agree. Not only do I enjoy watching him play, but I also enjoy watching the Heat play. I’ve seen a couple of games when the Heat is playing and Shaq and Wayde are fun to watch. If Miami loses Shaq than they can be in serious trouble.

I’ve seen a couple of games when the Heat is playing and Shaq and Wayde are fun to watch. If Miami loses Shaq than they can be in serious trouble. Well they will still make the playoffs but they will not make any noise once they are in the playoffs.

Both the Jones', Wade, Shaq, along with others make the game exciting.
Sox1422
Mac, Jurko, and Harry also reported that Shaq is out for the season. Miami is still a pretty good team without him. I think Detroit will pull out of the East, but I think if the Bulls continue their ways they can make some noise in the playoffs.
hammerhead johnson
Haha, when they found out that it wasn't true, Telander went on this whole rant about how you can't trust anything on the internet.

DBAHO
I just hope he misses the next 2 games against us. Damn, it would have been fun seeing a Miami vs. San Antonio or Phoenix Final too.
