The Critic
Did you see that Betty Loren-Maltese's hand-picked-from-prison successor, Ramiro Gonzalez, lost the election for Town President to Larry Dominick? It's not 100% official yet, because the race was close enough to allow the Maltese Machine to contest the results and get a recount. First thing Dominick did was vow to remove Ed Vrdolyak from any position of influence or employment in Cicero politics. Politically, Cicero is even more f***ed-up than the Daley Empire, and THAT's hard to do.
Gene Honda Civic
The Cicero political scene is the only reason I ever watch the local news. It's better than the Sopranos.
CubKilla
QUOTE(The Critic @ Feb 23, 2005 -> 07:27 PM) It's not 100% official yet, because the race was close enough to allow the Maltese Machine to contest the results and get a recount. Election recounts are gonna be as common as lawyers suing from now on. Cicero is so corrupt. According to the residents, an EX-COP who OWNED A BAR in violation of Dept. policy and who frequently met for B-FAST WITH MAFIA MEMBERS was the better choice to clean up Cicero?
