Lets give some other guys shots to see if they can help in the bullpen or start in AAA and serve as trade bait. Adkins has the perfect make up for this sort of start. I fully support starting the youngsters who most likely won't own a spot in the starting rotation in the first several games of the pre-season. Adkins will pitch maybe 2 innings, just as any other pitcher would on the first ST game. If it was Buehrle, he'd pitch 2 innings or so. Butter Parque Posted February 27, 2005 Share Posted February 27, 2005 I still think the Sox should go into the season with 12 pitchers instead of 11. Kepp the bullpen rested as well ast the starters. Plus, Adkins deserves to make the team, and I believe it's a mistake to stretch him again, his stuff is best suited for middle relief.
