Rowand44
QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:44 PM) I took this post to AltaVista translation guys, and I got the following:
BridgeportHeather
QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 08:28 PM) Next year I hope we can field a much more balanced team. A team shouldn't HAVE to rely on two guys to produce in order to succeed. The way it looks right now, we are gonna be playing small ball and not suffer so much losing big bats. Still, God forbid if Paulie ever went down, would we have a chance? I think we'd be more ok than you'd think...Konerko's not gonna be our only power-hitter this year. I'd say that Rowand will make some noise (albiet not to Konerko's level, but he sure will make himself known), and it is my prediction that Frank is gonna revert back to his good days with this newfound, cheerful atmosphere in the clubhouse. I do feel Crede is in for a career year, and Jurassic and Dye will have some flashes of power. The lineup is very balanced, and I do feel it would be able to have a chance in that situation. AnthraxFan93
Yeah, you guys are right. I was wrong, no surprise there. I'm just going to change the subject because I can't win this one. I got a different translation Why answer stupid question from kids who know not what they speak Here you go Rowand44.. I put your reponds to this.. daa84
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:10 PM) I hope you aren't implying that the Red Sox's farm system is good. Can you name some of their prospects besides Hanley Ramirez for me? i'll agree the bosox farm sucks, but dustin pedoria

YASNY
QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:40 PM) :sleep Hey your right injuries are the reasons for eveything.. lets just say that it is easier I am done trying to prove basic logic with you guys on the topic at hand. Exactly. When "logic" doesn't work, you could always try a moronic, condescending attitude for a change.
AnthraxFan93
You still haven't answered my question. And tell me how it's a stupid one at that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Read the rest of what I said.. They had others step up.. and if you think for one moment that Boston won it on the shoulders of Manny and Ortiz.. you are mistaken.. everyone knows that the Pitching and Defense when championships.. If Boston would have lost Pedro Schilling and Caberea.. They yeah I would say they could use the injury bug.. But for us to blame iinjuries is unacceptable, injuries are apart of the game, good teams overcome them.. ala Twins and Angels...
MurcieOne
A.J. is really going to fit in this city if he wants too.... he's the exact type of player chicago likes... and he even looks like he'd come chicago... good polish boy from the south side. RockRaines
QUOTE(qwerty @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 10:18 PM) When healthy i disagree very much so. so you are saying, that at this point in their careers, Frank and Paul are better than David Ortiz and Manny Ramirez??????? Schilling and Foulke really helped them win the WS. But you have to remember who the MVP was and how much Ortiz carried them especially when one swing won them several games. RockRaines
You think when frank and konerko are both healthy that it looks like this? Manny+ortiz>>>>>>>>>>maggs+frank? I sure hope not. [/q when was Paul not healthy?? When Frank gets back and join Paul, I would still rather have Manny and Ortiz on my team hands down. Better avg, more hr's more rbi's Manny and Ortiz have a better OBP than Paul. Better SLG, I dont understand how frank and Paul are better. Please let me know what you are thinking. Cause I am missing something. I understand that Frank has an awesome OBP, and will continue that trend, but his avg isnt as good, he wont hit as many hr's his rbi's arent close, and I would rather have a lefty and a righty as well. AnthraxFan93
BOth of yous are getting away from the main issue the reason Manny and Ortiz are so good.. They have men on base when they come up to hit.. And I mean what better 1-2 punch was there in Baseball, after the trading deadline.. 1. Damon 2. Caberea.. You can't lose to many games with them hitting at the top of the lineup.

SoxFan1
I was looking at AJ's "official" website and came up with some funny pics: Haha...funny to me for some reason. Make your own caption to this one: AJ: "Dude, your cure f***ing sucks! My palms are still hairy" Kirk: "Man.........................shut up!" Damon's OBP - .380 Cabrera's OBP - (Season .306) (Boston .320) Now let's have a look at the White Sox's top of the order; Harris OBP - .343 Rowand OBP- .361 Boston top of the order OBP = .700 Chicago top of the order OBP = .704 Cabrera + Damon's salary - $6,000,000 + $8,000,000 = $14,000,000 Harris + Rowand's salary - $318,500 +$340,000 = $658,
