Guest JimH
All kinds of new guys in ... Tony Alvarez in right, Pedro Lopez at 2nd, Jorge Toca at 1B, Chris Widger at catcher, Sweeney in left, Wilson Valdez at SS. Marte K's some Rockies scrub. Another Rockies scrub gets a base hit. They are talking about the utility IF spot, and Rooney asks Farmer if Harris can play SS and 3B, they both agree no ... he cannot, of course that's their take on it. They both seem to think Williams may still swing a trade, pitcher for an infielder. Another dribbler base hit for Colorado. 1st and 2nd, one out. Guest JimH
To the bottom of the 6th now, Rockies 3-1. Marte struck out the side, in between 3 hits and a walk. Rooney and Farmer commented he was throwing lots of breaking stuff.

SoxFan562004
Good to see Rooney and Farmer giving it to Marte. I know it's early in ST, but I think Marte has to have a quality ST, if not the Sox are in a bit of a jam for situational lefties...

AnthraxFan93
People you do realize that most of the first 2 weeks of sprint training most pitchers are working on new stuff right? Marte should be fine.. For me to poop on...

SoxFan562004
QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Mar 2, 2005 -> 09:50 PM) So you don't trust Arnie Munoz after that fabulous outing in Montreal? Yeah, that was a hard one to overlook, but still no faith!! I do like Cotts as a pitcher, but not as a situational pitcher at this point. In fact, I would almost rather see the Sox use Adkins as a bullpen pitcher and stretch out Cotts and put him in AAA to be the 6th starter
