kapkomet Posted February 28, 2005 Share Posted February 28, 2005 Well, we're adopting a pound puppy - my wife is at the shelter picking him up now. He's a chow/heeler mix (less chow). He's a pretty laid back little fellow... about 4 mo. old and very attentive. He responded very well to paying attention to me when we had him out of his cage at the pound. I didn't have him when he was a pup, but I do remember that he was very playful. Now he won't go after a ball or anything... he can be rather boring. It's kind of tough not knowing what exactly she is (breed) but for the most part she's been awesome with no problems. Watch the kitties though. While we had no issues when we brought Ginger home, since Abby joined the family they've become a bit rebellious. A couple accidents on the kitchen floor mainly to let us know who's the bosses. The parents were farm dogs and good hunters, the same goes for my dog. She is very loyal and would never hurt a human, but damn, she is a good hunter.
