3E8
If you're coming off the flu, do you have that window of immunity to strep throat as well as the flu you just recovered from? Edited February 28, 2005 by 3E8
Steff
Don't think so. 2 different virus strains.
Chisoxfn
I think you can pick strep back up pretty quick, but after just getting the flu its supposed to be tough to picking it back up. Wait...reread that and no I dont' think you do. They are seperate viruses, like steff said.
RibbieRubarb
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Feb 28, 2005 -> 04:45 PM) I think you can pick strep back up pretty quick, but after just getting the flu its supposed to be tough to picking it back up. Wait...reread that and no I dont' think you do. They are seperate viruses, like steff said. They are separate virus so be careful. If you get Strep follow my advice: Specifically look for and red rashes. There is a strain of Scarlett Fever going around. my son had it and it sucks...I mean sucks. Without treatment it can cause Liver or Kidney Failure. See a doctor right away...it's easily treated.
3E8
Thanks for the advice, I will be very cautious. I just fully recovered from the flu last week, but now everyone on campus (including my roommate) has contracted strep throat. I have four exams in the span of one week, so getting sick at this time would be devastating.
