shagar69
one of my friends today told me about this program called i2hub. it is sort of like a P2P program except only for colleges so the government cant do s*** about it. It allows you to download things from people on the UIUC network as well as other colleges. BUT, the beauty of this thing is that if you download from people on the UIUC network, your bandwith will NOT get limited. There will be no affect on your bandwith whatsoever, as long as you download from people on the UIUC network. Either way, though, the speeds on this thing are ridiculous. No joke, it goes 600+ KBS a second. So go to i2hub.com and tell other people about it, cuz we need more people on the network. When you download it, must post back here and i will show you how to set it up.
LowerCaseRepublican
Except if your housing notices the tons of activity, looks into what is being shared that is taking up so much bandwidth and shuts down your connections. They've given up on severe discipline with this stuff, they'll just slow you down for a few days.

No problems at all. They've given up on severe discipline with this stuff, they'll just slow you down for a few days. They shut us (me and DK) down for about a week. We had to send an e-mail apologizing to the Housing Director and saying we'd never do it again. Then after that they turned us back on. We only got nailed because there was so much traffic going on the Direct Connect++ hub we were using that they couldn't help but notice.
