Funniest mock draft in NFL history

Recommended Posts

My god, that is terrible! What's even worse is their logic on some of these picks. Picking a WR #1 to steal headlines? Taking an unproven cover corner basically because of the Bailey deal? Just assuming that the Vikings are going to take a WR because Moss is gone, even if it isn't Williams? That's some major crap.

Thomas Davis ahead of both Pool and Shazor is also pretty bad...likely a 2nd round pick.

Gruden loves Cadillac. No way he makes it past 5.

Also, Williamson at 7? Isn't that like taking Clarett on day 1, or like taking me in the draft period? He is good, but if he goes in the top 10, I will eat my shoe...or be drafted by an NFL team, I'm not sure which.

I shouldn't have even looked. I thought my draft may have been a little crazy...ROFL.

Don't be so sure about Williamson not belonging in the top 15. I've been touting him for a while that he would make it this high, and I see why he COULD.

Hunting a Gamecock: South Carolina WO Troy Williamson, who is expected to be the No. 2 receiver selected in this year's draft behind Michigan's Braylon Edwards, had dinner with Washington Sunday night and has also slated a meet-and-eat with Dallas this week here in Mobile. The Redskins, who pick No. 9 in April, and Dallas, which picks No. 11, are both said to be in the market for a difference-making wide receiver and may be targeting Williamson."

Let me say this then...I, at the very least, expect both Edwards and MWill to be drafted ahead of Williamson.

I like Williamson too...and I do think he is a potential top 15 pick(in fact, I have been saying for a while now that I think Chicago should trade down with San Diego, getting 12 and 28, and then with 12, selecting either Williamson, Benson(if he falls, which he very well could, depending on what Arizona does with their RB situation), or a CB...be it Rolle or Jones...or perhaps even trading down again from 12 if what they want is not on the table(which it should be).

Let me also say at the very least, that Minnesota will not select Williamson at 7. Not when they are in love with Mike Williams.

I can agree with that. But do you think signing Plaxico Burress would change that? Would they want two 6'5 giants or a giant and a speedster. That would be horrible for CB's to deal with Plax and Mike Williams, yikes.

Both would be nightmares for defenses.

However, I'm not so sure that if they did get Plax that they would even look to a receiver at all. They have Burleson, who had 1000 yards receiving last year(partly due to Moss being out for a few games, but also partly due to him becoming a better player overall), along with Marcus Robinson too...and seemingly, all he does is catch touchdowns. He had 47 catches last year, totaling 657 yards, which are respectable numbers from a #3 receiver...but he had 8 touchdown receptions. That's pretty crazy.

I'd think they would look to make both of their first round selections defensive players(and I could see them taking Derrick Johnson at 7 then, and finding room for him), while taking someone like Pool at 18. I could then see them getting a project like Matt Jones in the 3rd round, and trying to make him into something very solid.

Speaking of Matt Jones...how crazy is he? 6'6 1/4'' 242 lbs, and a 40 under 4.40. W-O-W. I think I could definately see Minnesota looking at him.

Yeah, I had seen him not fall...I thought he had run like a 4.65 40, which really dropped his stock...but yeah, I was pretty much wrong on that one.
