Bighurt52235
You piss me off. Why the hell do you complain about everything? What is wrong with Colon. We gave up nothing to get a twenty game winner, and you complain. I'm guessing you were upset with the David Wells trade at the time? Marte is great, and you still want to complain. Let's see, who was a big part of our 2000 team? Frank Thomas -- the REAL MVP that year -- OUT for all but 21 games in '01 Jim Parque -- gave us in the low teens in wins -- OUT for '01 Cal Eldred -- gave us 10 wins -- not on the team in '01 (as I recall) David Wells -- very good pitcher normally. Injured for us -- BUST Kelly Wunsch -- injured -- OUT for '01 And there was much more that I can't remember right now. Sure, it's an excuse -- but you're going to tell me that it's not a legitimate excuse? Frank Thomas -- still not 100% following torn tricep -- bad '02 Todd Ritchie -- good at first, then injured -- BUST Clubhouse -- issues within, BAD for team chemistry (what chemistry?) Foulke/Osuna/Marte -- closer by committee SUCKS Jose Valentin -- moving from position to position -- BAD for his stats Paul Konerko -- horrible after the AS break So they underachieved in 2002. How can KW control that? And like I said, if you're going to classify BC as a "bust", I completely disagree. You are probably alone in that sentiment. Bighurt52235
HSC, why don't you back up your whining? Clujer just showed how things went wrong over the last few years and he's completly right. You, on the other hand, have no information to back your statements. You cry about everything too much and it's rather disgusting.
Chisoxfn
Baseball America lists him as 21, he broke camp with the High A team of Winston Salem. I have got to imagine if this guy can hit .270 and field for anything, he has got to be able to find a home somewhere. I don't know his scouting report though. As a resident member of the Soxnet.net Minor League Staff.......... I know a litte bit on good ol ruddy.... He can field excellentely, and run like no-other.......... but scouts believe that his hitting is too weak to last in the majors...... So he might be Royce with speed. However, I think alot of it has to do with him still developing as a man...... he's definitely gotta hit the gym though...... Well, Yan is one of my favorite, "not so well known guys" in the Sox minor league organizations. I really do like this guy to Luis Castillo. He's very good at making contact and spraying the ball, but he has to keep working, get a little strong and continue to hit liners and grounders. If all goes well he could turn into a solid .270-.280 hitter and he has a solid eye, although he'll have to improve that as well. If this guy can put up a .350 obp he'll be an excellent second baseman and leadoff hitter or nine hole hitter. I think Yan will do it. He could turn into a real good hitter, he could never develop enough. Got to wait and see how he does at higher levels. This guy is faster then Wee Willie though or at least from what I've read thats what they say.
