At night, a private citizen notices the green Accord is still in the parking garage. Now they don't know exactly how many cars he has jacked and say he may be holding someone hostage. Or don't even announce you got him, you just shoot the scum dead? I mean, should there even be a trial? It's not like there is a question of innocence in this case, and he was on trial to begin with for rape. So, this guy is obviously of no positive use for the world other than fertilizer. The day before, they caught this guy trying to smuggle crude weapons into court. I assume there only 1 security guard in the courtroom? If so, why? If not, where was the other guard?
