IlliniKrush
Knee jerk final four: Illinois, Wake, UNC, Syracuse. Right behind in each region: OSU, Louisville, Kansas, Duke.

IlliniKrush
My thoughts on the Illini road: First game = Whatever Second round against probably Texas. They aren't a bad team, but if we play well, it won't be a problem. They have potential to make this a tough game though. Gibson, Buckman can do a lot of damage. Not going to be an easy game. Some people say that the 2nd game is the toughest one for the 1 seed sometimes. Could be the case here i guess. Third round against Bama is my guess, that's not too bad of a draw. And if we get BC, not a bad draw either, i'm not afraid of BC. Not a walkover, but it could be a worse 5 seed, like Ga Tech or Villanova IMO, or a 4 seed like Louisville, Syracuse, or Florida. I'd rather play an SEC team. Then we have presumably OSU. Could be Zona. Gonna be tough as f***. Not gonna lie, OSU was the one team i didn't want as a team in the bottom of our region. Hey, gotta beat good teams to win it all though right? Could be an epic matchup in the regional final game. After that, not even going to bother predicting, who really knows. Could be another matchup with Wake, which would be interesting. Just saying.

IlliniKrush
Kentucky? Interesting
Palehosefan
Yep, I LOVE Rondo at the PG, and Morris on the inside. They have a complete team as their freshmen stars have pretty much become sophomores. Not to mention Sparks can get hot and nice leadership from Azuibuke and Hayes. Also with Tubby as coach, that makes me like them even better in March. I also think the loss to Florida will wake them up and realize they don't have a cakewalk. danman31
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Mar 13, 2005 -> 06:52 PM) I've got a different one. UNC, Kentucky, WF, Arizona. I almost had that one. I had a hard time picking between Wake and G Tech in the elite 8 and went with the Yellow Jackets. Almost picked Cuse over Kentucky.
Palehosefan
I had the exact same problems, I picked Kentucky over Syracuse because of depth, and I'm not really sure what provoked me to pick WF over GT, pretty much a flip of the coin. I honestly dont think that UK is that good. I was seriously thinkin about having them knocked off by Iowa or if not that, OU for sure

shagar69
i just read this somewhere: only two times ever has a 13 or lower seed failed to win a first round game. My question is who will it be this year? Nobody stands out to me. A lot of people like Vermont over Cuse but i just dont see it. What do u guys think? Chisoxfn
Utah State over Arizona. As much as I hate Utah State they impressed me in big west play and are a very good shooting team with a ton of size. If they are hot they could definately take the Wildcats out. Of course Lute is a great coach and will have his team ready.
Palehosefan
I don't really see any this year, Vermont has the best shot and Niagara over OU would be a my sleeper. But I honestly don't see a single 13+ seed winning in the 1st round.
