He did it. He keeps saying he won't talk about the past. The guy from Maryland is going straight at him and I appreciate it. He did it. That son of a b****. I knew it back in 98 too. I always told my dad that he was on it because if you look, the man took light swings at homers that were porch shots. His swing was very light and he looked like he wasn't trying then. I can't speak about him prior to STL because I didn't see him, but with STL, he didn't look like he tried when he hit HR's.

Hey guys,

Please don't hate me.  I just got back from a day's worth of classes and simply don't have the energy to burn through 33 pages.

If someone could post an all-encompasing review of today's events I would really, really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Doctors say steroids are bad for you.

Sammy can't speak english. Lawyer does it for him.

McGwire is sad. May or may have not used steroids.

Same with Palmeiro. The rest say they did not use.

Nobody likes Canseco.

Committee takes a long lunch break. :D

They got Canseco to agree to a zero-tolerance policy for MLB. That was a surprise.

Lantos is awesome! (Theatre of the absurd!) - great lines!

Schilling is .. for lack of a better word .. a politician for the MLBPA. Why is he on the task force again?

Lantos had 2 great questions near the end:

MLB adopting Olympic standards? Y - JC, MM, RP, SS. N - CS

Indie testing? Y - JC, MM, RP, SS, CS

Suddenly Schilling's white hat is started to look more like an MLBPA cap.

He seems to be a spokespersom for the current policy.

Frank on the other end referred to the current policy as simply an initial

first step.

That's a stark contrast to the two & only members of the zero-tolerance task force.

He's getting forgotten...what the f***?

I think it was said earlier that Frank only had to make an opening statement. He didn't have to stick around. Based on how exciting it's been thus far, who could blame him. It's St Paddy's Day...he's probably heading to the bar.

Disagreed. I respect the hell out of the man. Call him a whistle blower, call him what you will, this goof has been more up-front and respectable than any of the rest.

Was he looking for some serious dough in writing "Juiced"? Perhaps. Does that diminish what he wrote in there or make things any less true? Absolutely not.

I also feel that it will only be a matter of time before McGwire either admits to usage or is exposed as a former usage.

Self-regulation enough? Y - MM, RP, SS, CS. JC - N

I believe they forgot about Thomas. It's not often that they deal with teleconferencing in the chamber & I think as politicians they really need the eye contact. The TV screen is on the side of the room & I doubt they can cage that.

For you is the use of steroids cheating?

Y - JC, SS, RP, CS. N - MM (Not for me to determine)
