What?

That's not a good comparison at all.

Steroids affect moods negatively, which can lead to suicide.

Watching Tilt (all joking aside, as it is lame) doesn't affect you and make you want to commit suicide.

Losing in gambling affects moods negatively also which could lead to suicide. People used to jump out of buildings when they lost money in stocks, I call that proffesional gambling, so it does affect. The show was pretty good and far from lame, but that's not the argument.

You don't inject gambling in your ass. Let's stick with the topic.

Never thought I'd see the day when the word "googled" would be used in a congressional hearing.

How scary to be buying this stuff from foreign countries....so you get this stuff, and probably can't read the bottle...scary.

Ok now the goofball from Penn. wnats to know where the illegal steriods are produced. Where are all of the meth labs? If we knew this, we could stop the problem. Where great sums of money are involved people will find a way to make them. I wish these politcians would think before they talk.

WT... do you know anyone who wants to, or has the potential to be a profossional ball player..? I've known several and know a few HS and college ones currently.. you would not believe the influence pro players have over them.

Yes I do, I've been playing baseball for 13 years and know some people in high school and college that have a shot at being a pro. No one has used steriods or has ever wanted to, we've talked about this routinely. Maybe we don't because we come from a city with good morals and know it's wrong, I don't know. We look up to these players, but we know what right and wrong is.

Its like it was said about people buying meds from Mexico. That they were crushing up drain cleaner and selling it as Viagra and other things...can you imagine someone getting some bad s*** like that?? I wouldn't trust buying anything like that online from anyone.

I believe he was referring to the medical ones.

Yeah...if I wanted this stuff, I would need to find someone who has been doing it and work with them to get it....not that I would ever do that...but a random website, or random tijuanan pharmacy would be out of the question.

I'm glad for you. I've seen 3 lives destroyed by roids. One a pro player. It was not pretty.

Respectfully speaking here. You are talking about the opportunity to make millions upon millions of dollars, versus the difference between right and wrong. I'm sorry, but people have commited murder because their pride has been hurt. To expect people to give into moral vlaues vs. millions of dollars is just not ... generally ... realistic. There are exceptions, but the majority won't be exceptions.

WT you have a good point about gambling, sorta, but it's not gonna get discussed here and now. People lose their houses and cars because of a family member with a credit card and the person responsible no doubt commits suicide a good percentage of the time. It's just hard to compare it to steroids here and now.

Again I was just using that as an example, it's not a big deal.

Well I'm sorry about that. If I was in the same situation, I probably would think the same way.

Just to be clear.. I was being sincere in saying I am glad for you.

Until I see otherwise, I'm sticking with what I've encountered. Sometimes pride counts more than money and that is the case with most of us.

I agree with you. I have seen too many lives ruined. When I was doing some work with a professional football team north of here, they drafted an offensive tackle from a university in Michigan who was obviously on steriods. He was a great guy but got caught and lost 35 pounds of muscle during training camp. He was never really an effective player and came down with many medical problems and still isn't right and never will be.

I use to play football through HS and have seen plenty of roid heads and most of them get so f***ed up its not even real.

Brian knew a bunch of guys in HS that did roids. They offered to get him some, but he said he told them he had a bad enough temper and wasn't interested anyway so he declined.

He said it was sad to see the effects of roids on those guys over the years.

You'll discover that pride ranks a distant second to money, fame and pussy.
