No harm. I don't agree with you, based on my personal experience, but you're entitled to your opinion. I truly hope that you, and your friends that use them, never have the displeasure of seeing the negatives and destruction of them.

I have never actually injected steroids.. my friends have, but I have taken other illegal substances in pill form

havent ever had a problem

yeah key word in there... ABUSE

The only way to get the radical gains in performance is to abuse them. If you use them at low dosage, you only get marginal improvements in performance and a real bad case of acne.

I should have been more clear.. didn't mean to imply you took them.. just hope that you, and them, never see the horror that is some users reality.

I agree but as I said earlier he makes them a ton of money so they keep him in. As Steff pointed out he doesn't negotiate the contrats but he does things such as refusing to go for the salary cap, keep in the arbitration process which artificailly increases their pay when he negotiates the CBA. Just from my dealings in the different professional sports the players in the MLB follow him more than any other sport follows what their respective leaders say.

You may very well be correct but as Steff said we can agree to disagree

Yeah, absolutely, we're mostly just disagreeing on semantics, anyway.

:D Tried the subliminal mssg, but I don't know how to make it as small as I want!

The acne part was a joke. What were the gains and the level and the length of use that will determine the abuse? If the gains were less than a 40% gain in the 1 time max rep than it wouldn't be sufficient to make a difference on an athletic field. You will not see the side effect for at 8-10 cycles. If he has been using it for less than that ( if its an oil based steriod) he won't have them yet. Steriods make the person feel good in the short term. It's the effect it has on the body long term that is the problem.

You sound pretty young so let me give you some more advice. In general don't believe what you read from just one source. Collect several sources which you feel have different interests in what they print & draw a consensus opinion from all of them. It takes more of your time but you will become more open-minded in doing so.

What you missed earlier is that roids don't just make you bigger. They change your hormones & in doing so can bring on addiction & severe mood swings. That's factual data as recorded from doctor observations.

Any time a substance is addictive the risk of abuse is much higher. You seem to refer to to ABUSE as something a person can control. That is not usually the case.

Roids are not cool. They bring on bad breath, acne, oily & puffy skin. What's cool about that? Maybe your friends are an exception. Maybe they can use them in moderation & not grow an addiction. Taken at low dosages I can buy the argument that the decline in quality of life wil occur much more gradually down the road. But there is independant study data that has recorded the effects on the organs & various systems of the human body with long term roid usage & it is anything but cool.

Take time & use Google to educate yourself in the subject. You might help your friends in the process.

Juggernaut - I am educated in it, I dont need to check out google.. Ive seen it in real life experiances and I know about it. You get all your s*** from google. Finding something scanning it then saying you know it doesnt mean you know it..

ptatc - My friend did a small cycle and gained 17 lbs, and went from benching 225 9 times to benching 225 15 times

JMO.. and I'm sure I'll catch some hell for it  ... but I don't think discussing in detail the use and effects of roids is such a good idea.

Well said.

Might I add...The doctors who testified today stated that you would have to take 10% to 90% higher than a medicinal amount of steroids to cause an effect in ones athletic performance.

Now what you might think is a low dose, in fact is an abuse of steroids.

Yeah they feel great now and everything feels fine...But later in life it will take it's toll.

And don't give us the crap of "If you never took them, you can't comment"

Life isn't like that.

Steff, I dunno if you've already mentioned it or not, but do you believe Raffy?

And, we all know he's lying.  He took at least one performance enhancing drug (and I'm not talking about the 'roids)...  :D

LOL @ the Viagra comment....

No.. I don't believe him. I think he used.

haha, its not crap.. its the truth

All you know is what you have been told.. and thats what life isnt like

If you have never used them you dont know what your talking about, all your doing is recycling the same old s*** from what you have HEARD about them..

so please, spare me your repetative bulls***

but like I said.. if you have never taken it you dont know what your talking about, simply put

I've never taking opium either but there is a mountain of information that tells me it's pretty bad for me & the risk of addiction is very high. Of course the fact that I can describe it's chemical breakdown & most aspects of its impact on the human body, it's history, & it's current growth span today I guess is meaningless because I've never tried it :rolly

You are taking yourself seriously so I'll just ask some questions to maybe get you to pause & think differently.

Why would my personal experience with say smoking weed have greater value than clincal research covering say 10's of 1000's of persons smoking weed?

In the same likeness why would your personal experience with performance enhancers have greater value than 10's of 1000's of others accounts.

The best knowledge is collective knowledge because it filters out biased opinion.

That's why the internet is the best tool mankind has ever invented.
