Jim Fainter
I can't believe we made Detroit resemble a big league team. The Tigers kept giving the Sox an opportunity to win the game, but we kept refusing. We are not a good team. Too many holes. Stewart looked pitiful. No balls. He should have been yanked earlier. Can you imagine what a good hitting team would have done to him today? Frank should be dropped down in the batting order. He has no business hitting third. I don't care who goes there. Crede, Lee. Didn't Carlos hit well there last year while Frank was skulking? Aaron Rowand deserves a quick 2-3 week vacation to Charlotte. He is not doing the Sox any favors out there. He is not doing his career any favors, either. He tries to pull everything. Looks lost. Proverbial deer in the headlights. I don't see him getting any better without a trip to the minors. Trouble is, he might not start at Charlotte. If he goes another month like this, he might be toast.

It just looks bad because we expect so much from this team. Relax we'll kick their ass tomorrow. CWSOX45
Guest hotsoxchick1
that someone did not have to be us..... were not hitting........or should i say only a select few are hitting......when jose has the most homers and rib's on the team for the season thus far, then something is wrong with your other top guys....... no one is focused and everyone seems to be swinging for fences or poping up .......not exactly a great way to start out the season.......... jim if aaron gets a vacation he should take lee with him.. neither one is doing well at the plate.......and whats up with jose and jimenez?? they both zig when one should be zagging.......they need to get coordinated out there or were gonna have a ton of errors in mid infield.........we need alot of "getting the act together" on this team for it to be successfull........mho........ Chisoxfn
Lee really had some good swings on the ball today and defensively he looked fine. He's actually become very solid out there. Konerko, Thomas, Rowand, and Olivo are the big holes in the lineup in my humble opinion. Thomas is drawing walks, but nothing else. Carlos was in that book but he's coming out of his slump. I also can guarantee that Daubach will be at first, Rios will be in center and Sandy will be behind the plate. I don't think they should move Lee up to the 3 hole quite yet, but if Lee has a few more games like today, then he will be up there, thats as long as Thomas is still not getting many good swings on the ball. CubKilla
we need alot of "getting the act together" on this team for it to be successfull........mho........ Starting with the manager. Rowand, Thomas, Konerko, Lee, Olivo, hell..... half our offense needs a boot in the ass. Manuel just sits there and tinkers here..... tinkers there. As for Stewart, I didn't see any of the game but listened to Farmer and Rooney throughout. Neither of them said Stewart was missing his spots. They said he made one bad pitch..... the HR to Halter. Tomorrow is another day.

cwsox
Hey someone had to give Detroit's it's first win. It just looks bad because we expect so much from this team. Relax we'll kick their ass tomorrow. CWSOX45 45, I am with you on this and will add that I get tired of the Chicken Little Sky Is Falling fandom. Oh hell and f***, of course Detroit is going to win some. Going to pieces after every loss is too psychiclly demanding and emotionally draining. Stewart was fine today. jack Morris who knows something about pitching had nothing but praise for him. Sometimes you lose. Of course we could send everyone down and bring Kassopolis up en masse and hire Jim Fainter and my dear friend HSC manage and do you think we would never ever lose a game or lose to Detroit ever? I have yet to see the major league team go undefeated or sweep an opponent 18 times in a season.
JoshPR
Josh Stewart didn't pitch all that great today but didn't do poorly. We give him no Run Support. I think the Ump kinda squezzed a little too. A couple close pitches weren't called for Both sides. Rowand and Konerko are Killing Me. Gotta be more pacient. I think we stranded over 12 guys.. Not Good
SoxFan1
Listen guys. It 1 game. Relax. Lee hit the ball well. Stewart did not pitch bad. We just did not take advantage of our opportunities. We'll get em tommorrow!

CubKilla
I have yet to see the major league team go undefeated or sweep an opponent 18 times in a season. Me neither. The White Sox are going to lose eventually to every team in their division at least once..... just like KC will eventually. KC can't keep this up much longer. Not Good One thing I didn't like is that he was throwing too many pitches. Josh isn't a guy that is going to be sucessful when throwing a ton of pitches per inning, because he can't rely on the strikeout. When he's getting a ton of strikeouts it is because he's throwing a ton of pitches, meaning they are seeing a lot of stuff and he's not really throwing strikes. When Josh is on, he doesn't go deep into counts as teams are swinging at his stuff and he gets a lot of easy outs. Thats wasn't the case today as he was really having to battle. Still, he pitched solid even though he didn't have good control.

Chisoxfn
Well my boy DAng looked great at the plate. What mistake did Jose and D'ang make in the field. I missed about two innings of the game early on. Jimenez is so impressive at the plate though

BULLs***!! You nailed it on the head.Stop swinging for the f***ing fences and hit a line drive single somewhere.Just like Joe Crede did as a pinch hitter in the 8th.
