WHarris1
http://chicagobears.com/news/newsDetail.jsp?id=7201 Started 15 games for a top rushing attack, must be at least solid. Anyone know anything further on this guy?

Anyone know anything further on this guy? I know the Packers were looking at him to replace the two guards they lost. Looks like Favre is going to be running a lot next year. Credepopsup
This is a very good signing. Tait - Brown - Kreutz - Garza - Miller That's a more than decent offensive line. Goodbye Rex Tucker.

jackie hayes
He's young too, iirc. Just a one year deal, though, so I don't think it would affect their draft plans much.
AddisonStSox
I, too, feel this is a good signing. Angelo isn't going out and signing the Orlando Pace(s) and the Walter Jones(s), but he is quietly bolstering that sad excuse for an O-Line with guys like Miller and Garza. Look at the Patriots O-Line. There isn't a guy anywhere near the first round. They simply have a bunch of horses that have learned the system. It works. I'm a big advocate of a piece-work O-Line of veterans and such. That said, I do like Adam Terry, the 6'8, 314 pounder from Syracuse. But, I don't think the Bears were looking to go that direction in the second round anywho. Mr. Tucker, your plane is boarding.
Jabroni
he came up a center. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. Good deal for us. He can start at guard and back up Kreutz at center. An OL of Olin Kreutz, Jon Tait, Fred Miller, Ruben Brown, and Roberto Garza isn't bad at all. Edited March 19, 2005 by Jabroni

I don't like to use it, but if you (the O-Lineman) know the guys around you, you'll be more comfortable with them, and know their tendencies as far as picking up certain blitzes, etc. Hell, I still remember our 2001 O-Line -- Brockemeyer (spelled it wrong, but it's something along those terms), Tucker, Kreutz, Villareal, Big Cat -- that group seemed like such a great unit, I think they played all 16 games together. It all starts with the O-Line, let's hope Jones has lots and lots of room to run this season.

WHarris1
OLine chemistry is big for sure. Which is why it's good to go into camp with 5 set starters. Tait-Brown-Kreutz-Garza-Miller

EvilJester99
This will make a huge difference for the Bears. Actually having guys who can play their positions is a big plus. Kruetz looked terrible because he was trying to do his job and about 3 others as well and was getting killed. The O Line and offense will look a lot better this season...thankfully!! The O Line and offense will look a lot better this season...thankfully!! The Bears think he's healthy, but the Ravens, who were interested, say he has NO ACL in his knee. That's why they and the packers backed off. Also, maybe why the Bears signed him to a one-year deal. http://www.suntimes.com/output/bears/cst-spt-garza19.html
