Podsednik singled, moved over on two groundouts and scored on a wild pitch.

Pablo Ozuna drove in Borchard (who'd singled) for the other run.

Burke now in at catcher and Ryan Sweeney in LF to start the 7th.

Shingo looks just terrible this spring.  He doesn't seem to have any location on his pitches right now.  I'm a little worried.

I guess you didn't see last spring.

Truly, don't be worried.

Shingo has his job. It could simply be the case of him working on certain pitches. He might throw more fastballs than he normally does. He might try throwing more change-ups in certain situations. Just to try things out.

Plus, he doesn't want a division rival to see all his stuff in Spring Training.

3-1 Sox now, after 7. Small ball. Ozuna gets on via error, short chopper to SS and both guys charge in ... Ozuna to 3B on the ground out. Perfect squeeze bunt by Jamie Burke, Ozuna scores.

Ozuna has made something happen every time up today, hard not to be impressed with what he's doing.

The thing I'm worried with Shingo is that he's not exactly a young player, and Japanese pitchers usually lose their stuff fast because of the insane amount of pitches they throw during their Japanese career. However, I'm very content with our backup options for closer in case Shingo has declined.

Would not say Shingo got knocked around at all. The second hit was a fister the guy took the other way. I thought Shingo did a good job getting out of the mess.

3-2 Sox going into the bottom of the 8th.

Podsednik in the booth now, talking about base stealing. He feels he can get 80 attempts this year, let's hope so.

Nice job by the pitching, Cotts does a good job in the 9th to close it out 1-2-3.

Buehrle was outstanding, Ozuna was the position player of the day.

Anyone who watched most of the game today, what was Buehrle hitting on the gun?

I ask because in the 9th, every pitch cotts threw was between 92 and 94.  Last season his FB was 89-91.  If he has added a couple MPH, that's gonna be great.  But it could just be a fast gun.

The Comcast Sports Net radar gun is f***ed up.

Buehrle threw a pitch that was 62, and it was clearly a fastball.

A few days back, they had McCarthy at 87-88 all day, when really it looked at least 91-92...

Anyone else notice this?
