DBAHO
Two pronged question. I have to present a 3 minute presentation on the future of Information Techonlogy. Just wondering if there are any sites or articles in particular that would be extremely helpful with this issue. Also, I have to then write a formal written proposal about Computer Games and how a company should invest in these games for their emplyees professional development (yes I'm sure killing people on CounterStrike on a LAN is really going to do that), and include such things as a costs and benefits of such an activity and to develop educational goals and measurement tools to evaluate employee improvement etc.

Texsox
The official reason for including solitaire in early versions of windows was to help people learn to use a mouse. People learn faster and more completely when they are involved in a game. What this means for businesses is they could put together a trivia type game to help employees learn products. Games could be designed to stress safety issues unique to that facility. Lan games can be used to develop team work, reduce stress, etc. Edited March 22, 2005 by Texsox
FlaSoxxJim
QUOTE(Texsox @ Mar 22, 2005 -> 09:26 AM) The official reason for including solitaire in early versions of windows was to help people learn to use a mouse. Strange but true. In the same vein, porn was first posted on the internet to give people a chance to work on their pocket mouse technique.
