Pro Baseball Central will be having an online radio show on Thursday night about the Chicago Sports, with at least one segment of the hour show set aside for talk about the Chicago White Sox.

The Show will air at 10PM Eastern Time and here is the Listen Live Link

Special Guests on the show will be Gene Wojciechowski from ESPN the Magazine and Scott Merkin, the staff writer for MLB.com who covers the Chicago White Sox.

The show has a live call in line 1-877-913-9739 which is a toll free line. From what I hear this is a real cool radio show and I hope you guys check it out. They'll also be airing a few spots on Soxtalk :)

For anyone that has questions that they'd like Scott Merkin to answer, please post them here or call the show direct . I will be forwarding the questions tomorrow to the person whose doing the show.

And if you can't catch it live, they will have it archived.

Hey guys thanks for sponsoring us. I hope to hear from some of you. The show is on at 10 PM EST so that would be 9 in the central.

And just remember that we will have a number of Cubs fans listening as well, so please call in if you want the topic to stay with the Sox.

We will also be giving away two books. Obviously Cubs Nation would be the book offered, but if one of you call in and answer the trivia question right, you can take a copy of Juiced or Aces.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Joe McDonald

Question for Merkin:

Brandon McCarthy has been the talk of spring training thus far, so much so that Bruce Levine speculated that Contreras and El Duque could come up with mysterious injuries so Bmac could break camp with the Sox. Is there any truth to this and how short of a leash will Garland and Contreras be on, considering McCarthy's waiting in the wings.

QUOTE(Molto @ Mar 23, 2005 -> 09:05 PM)
is there going to be a replay of this or an audio clip that I can listen to after? I won't be around at that time.

:cheers :

Questions for Merkin: Could you see Jermaine Dye having better power numbers in 2005 than Maggilo Ordonez?

Do you expect Joe Crede's new swing to improve his numbers much? If not, will Josh Fields be up by the end of the season, or do you see the Sox trading for a stopgap solution like Wes Helms or Joe Randa?

Which 2 of out the 3 pitchers in Garland, Hernandez and Contreras do you expect to see pitching on the Southside in 2006 when B-Mac will most likely be in the rotation.

Scott:

AJ Pierzynski has been labeled as a clubhouse cancer by Giants players such as Brett Tomko. Has AJ been fiiting in well in the Sox clubhouse and is he developing relationships with the pitchers?

Does Podsednik seem to be meshing well with the rest of the Sox? We haven't heard much about him.

Is Bajenaru a name to listen for in the future? As a Soxtalk member, we have to root for him. :)

I just called up and won a book from answering the trivia question correctly...

Question: "What Hall of Famer was a throw-in to the Larry Bowa for Ivan DeJesus trade?"

Answer: "Ryne Sandberg."

I chose a copy of "Cubs Nation" because I already have a copy of "Juiced." :puke I guess I will sell it to my Flubs fan friend.
