YASNY
There's really not much to say. He was a classic example of what I perceive a US soldier to be. May he rest in peace and his bravery and sacrifice always be honored.

mreye
An amazing story. Just one of many I'm sure. God bless him and his grieving family.
LowerCaseRepublican
Wow. That's pretty amazing. And odd aside not meant to threadjack/be sacriligous -- but every time I hear about the Medal of Honor, I always think back to Raymond Shaw in the "Manchurian Candidate" for some reason. KipWellsFan
QUOTE(LowerCaseRepublican @ Mar 30, 2005 -> 10:21 AM) Wow. That's pretty amazing. And odd aside not meant to threadjack/be sacriligous -- but every time I hear about the Medal of Honor, I always think back to Raymond Shaw in the "Manchurian Candidate" for some reason. Bennett Marco: Made to commit acts too unspeakable to be cited here by an enemy who had captured his mind and his soul. He freed himself at last and in the end, heroically and unhesitatingly gave his life to save his country. Raymond Shaw... Hell... Hell. Where is the saluting smiley?
