In fact, Buehrle says that AJ has been great in the clubhouse so far. Buehrle even hangs out with him and knew him from Japan. Apparently, they are buddies. - His injury was just a freak accident while shagging balls. Says that he was goofing around in the outfield. - Asked if he had heard that Konerko called him the worst player rep ever, Buehrle replied with, "AWESOME!" He said he wants to lose the job. - Says Sox fans should be optimistic about the offense. The offense is alot better than people have been saying. - Predicts Rowand, Uribe, Konerko, and Everett to be All-Star possibilities. - He will be our opening day starter. The offense is alot better than people have been saying. steve stone was on local radio here yesterday and said the same thing. basically said the sox will be a better and more consistent offensive team than anyone has given them credit for. also called iguchi the "prototypical two-hole hitter" or something to that affect. stone was very positive about the sox and thought they'd improved their defense as well. he was sketchy on the starting pitching. I agree with Stone's comments, but I've always believed a strong bullpen is more important than a strong rotation.
