ottawa_sox
Here's one for YASNY. I am also a Blackhawk fan. Most days I browse around the internet looking for any new news flashes. Like (hold your breath now) the possible arrival of Ruutu in Norflolk. Today when I looked in the Blackhawk section of the Daily Herald I saw this: Friday, April 1, 2005 BLACKHAWKS NOTES Posted Saturday, December 30, 1899 • Printable version • E-mail story to friend © 2005 Daily Herald, Paddock Publications, Inc. Privacy Policy | AP Copyright Top | Home | Search | Feedback According to the Herald, it looks like it's been about 106 years since they had anything newsworthy happen to them. Even the Chisox won a pennant in that time frame. On a similar note I love the tear on your avatar.
Pauly8509CWS
LOL My dad's a ticketholder and I grew up with them, its so sad whats happened to this team and above all this sport... Hell, I'd rather watch the hawks with Krivokrasov, Korolev, Karpovtsev, Fleury, and the rest of the s***ty players of the last 8 years than no Blackhawk hockey... Bettman and Goodenow :fyou :fyou :fyou Edited April 1, 2005 by Pauly8509CWS

Bettman and Goodenow :fyou :fyou :fyou This teams fate was sealed on August 17th 1996. That's the day they traded Jeremy Roenick for that Soviet figure skater Alex Shamnov ( used the S on purpose ). From there it was all down hill. Belfour, Carney, Weinrich, Suter, Chelios, all gone within 2 years. Nobody left but Amonte and he eventually got dumped when he dared ask for his due. As long as Dollar Bill owns that franchise I'll never go to a live Hawks game again.

Carney cant skate a lick, just a relentess SOB, no big loss... but JR, Belfour and Cheli are different stories. I think they thought they could find those types of players again, and they couldnt. But right now, I wouldnt pay TA what he wanted either. He was nonexistent in the playoffs the past two years and was nothing more than a second line winger in Philly... BridgeportHeather
The Blackhawks are my favorite sports team, and I feel your pain...It's been a very sparse winter sportswise (I've literally felt like a piece of me was missing)...Thankfully, the Bulls have done a little to help that, but noone can fully make up for missing the Hawks!!! I blame most of this on Badenough, because of his constant turning down proposals from the owners that would've easily worked...What greed he has!!! Hopefully the NHLPA will get a new spokesman with more of a mind.

I think we needed a hockey person and not a basketball person running the show...
