ottawa_sox
Pods with the swinging strike. At least they made it mildly interesting. 4-2 final.
elrockinMT
The Sox do seem to concentrate in the 9th and get a run or two so maybe this season will be real interesting in close games when the Sox have that last at bat and need that run.
Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 03:38 PM) yeah Garland pitched really well... Carlos Lee's HR was more of a good hit by him than a bad pitch by Garland and Podsenick almost stole it too. That's good to hear. Atleast he finished up strong. Jabroni
For anyone interested, you can watch Jeremy Reed on espn2. Mariners vs. Cubs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I just saw Wilson Valdez's first at bat with the Mariners. He lined out to RF. They mentioned how Valdez has played for 3 different teams this spring -- Sox, Mets, and Mariners. He just got off a plane and he doesn't even have a logo on his helmet. Ozuna is hitting .527 (29 for 55). Edited April 2, 2005 by Jabroni
ottawa_sox
QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 05:38 PM) I was going to say that he has hit a ton this spring, but that's like 2000.00 so 650 average sounds more like it. I think it comes out to .527. And Farmio said he has a .535 OBP, so it follows he is up there hacking.

The Critic
QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Apr 2, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) I think it comes out to .527. And Farmio said he has a .535 OBP, so it follows he is up there hacking. I like that. If he's going to be used in the late innings, chances are he'll hit in run-scoring situations, or at least a situation where he'll be asked to move a runner over. The fact that he's making a lot of contact, and hitting to the right side quite a bit, is going to be helpful. I'm happy for him, he earned his roster spot 100%. Took his opportunity and ran with it.
