DBAHO
Best player available on defense. They'll take James.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 5, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) Best player available on defense. They'll take James. I did the same but I think it is Spears. Spears seems to be a better bet to be healthy, and is still very good defensively.

Butter Parque
I am a Bengals fan. They're not going to take a DE (at least not in the 1st round) They have Duane Clemons (6.5 Sacks), Justin Smith (70 tackles, 8 sacks), Robert Geathers (16 tackles, 3.5 sacks in limited time as a rookie), and they just re-signed Carl Powell. They're not going to take a DT either. They have Matthias Askew (who would have been perhaps the 1st DT taken this year), Langston Moore (promising young run stuffer), John Thornton (57 tackles, 3 sacks), and they signed Bryan Robinson. My guess is that they are targeting Thomas Davis if he falls to them to become their SS. With him and Madieu Williams, can anyone say "best young tandem in football". If I had to put money on it though, I would say they trade down, perhaps out of the 1st round, to give Marvin thos draft picks he loves, and then they would take Chris Spencer © and Robert McCune (LB). Butter Parque
Why is an OT even in there, has anyone heard of Levi Jones and Willie Anderson (2x Pro Bowler)

Butter Parque
Didn't Cinci really suck against the run last year though? They were god awful against the run last year, but Marvin believes in what he has. We signed Bryan Robinson to clog the gaps, freeing up John Thornton to penetrate into the backfield. Marvin absolutely loves his young D-Line. We have Langston Moore who filled in nicely for Tony Williams in only his 2nd year, and Matthias Askew is a project. Like I said, he would have been the first DT taken this year. On the DE spot, Justin Smith is one of the most complete DE's in the league, and Duane Clemons is pretty serviceable,Robert Geathers might be poised to take a starting job, and Carl Powell also knows how to get into the backfield and find the QB. knightni
Most mock drafts I've seen have them taking a DE. Plus, the best available guys are DL and OL. But, if it is close, I will pick the WR for them.
