sircaffey
Cotts looked pretty crisp yesterday, I thought. I would be very big if we could get him at a consistant 4.15-4.25 era...

AnthraxFan93
Was it his .218 ave or .281 obp last year away from Coors that makes you think that? He might be better, but he is not $6 million better than Joe away from Coors Field. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> US = Coors Lite.. Anything is better than Crede, Hell Crede can be part of the package. I have no doubt he would put up power numbers here, but with the much smaller dimensions in Chicago vs Denver, the average and OBP would plummet because there is just no where for the ball to fall when compared to Coors. Yes the ball jumps, but the playing field is huge there. And because the OFs are forced to play deep, there are many more singles and doubles to go with those inflated power numbers. The averages and the power numbers are so bloated, but only the power numbers can possibly translate to here.

southsideirish71
Cliff looks to be in a constant state of terror everytime he gets on the mound. Kind of the pitching version of Crede.

mreye
QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 7, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) no throw from Pods? Up by 3 you keep that guy at first. No reason to put him in scoring position. Smart play.
Capn12
Sac Fly, Politte out. In comes Marte. 5-2, man on first, 2 out
Jabroni
Well, Ozzie made the right move here. Politte versus Hafner would be the worst pitching matchup of all time. Righty fastball thrower versus lefty power hitter.
