Jabroni
In his defense, hollandworth blew it. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> True, but LaTroya did give up a single and a double with 2 outs either way.
Jabroni
Hollandsworth with a leadoff walk. Hairston deadens a bunt on his second attempt and the catcher picks it up and throws Hollandsworth out at 2nd base.
fathom
Even if the Cubs win this game, I'm still going to take some pleasure from it knowing that Hawkins has already blown a game. I guarantee every Cubs fan is b****ing about their closing position right now. Much more so than we were yesterday.

Every Flubs fan is going to hate Hendry for not signing a closer like Troy Percival or Armando Benitez.
Jabroni
Patterson K's on a horrible pitch. 2 outs. Patterson is trying to take over the title of "K-Master" from Geoff Jenkins and Jeromy Burnitz. Edited April 8, 2005 by Jabroni

Jabroni
Have to love Patterson's swing <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That was a pretty disgusting swing. Even Crede might not be able to match that one. :puke
fathom
I'll never understand why Cubs didn't go harder after Benitez. Benitez was lights-out last year, and he's still young enough that he's not going to start throwing 88 mph all of a sudden. On the other hand, I think Percival is well on the decline. He was very shaky for the Angels last year. I'd guess every Angels fan is happier with K-Rod as their closer instead of Percival. With the Cubs high payroll, you would think they'd spend some money on their bullpen, which failed them so much last year.

He thinks he's a genius, when in fact, he's just an overrated GM. Nomar singles to RF. Hairston at 2nd base, Nomar at 1st base, Ramirez up with 2 outs. Jabroni
Ramirez K's on a nasty slider way off the plate to end the inning! Let's go Brewers!
fathom
That was the worst AB I've seen from Aramis in a long time. Now, Jenkins has the chance at 5 K's in a game. Where's Austin Kearns when you need him?

SuperSteve
I like the Cubs jerseys with no names on them. Also laughing as someone says "Jenkins, you stink" so you could hear it on tv.

Jabroni
Good bunt by Russell Branyan. He's definately not used to doing that. Runners advance to 2nd and 3rd.
