JDsDirtySox
Down 2 with two outs and an 0-2 count in the 9th, Jose hit a pinch hit three run homer to beat the D'Backs. Way to go Jose! Best of Luck in L.A.

Yeah, right about the time that NL pitching figures out that Valentin can't hit a curveball to save his life.

witesoxfan
Valentin has had an OPS of over .900 in April 3 of the past 4 years(02 was the only year it was not...he started off horribly, with a .700 OPS in April), and his OPS in April of 2000 was .866. He almost always gets off to hot starts, cools way down in May, and gets hot as hell in June. This is nothing out of the ordinary, but any good props for Jose are fine by me. Go Jose! BridgeportHeather
I don't know if any of you have noticed this; but, his defense never was the same once Sugar Ray got traded to San Francisco. Durham made Jose a better fielder (and sometimes made UP for his blunders). Anyways, here's hoping that he blasts the Cubs this year when the teams meet. Actually, Jose's defense seemed to improve when Robbie Alomar was playing beside him.
