Mr. Showtime
What the hell was Rios doing going to third? I don't understand what happened. Ball got away from the catcher, went towards 3rd base. Rios was safe for sure, but the ump didn't see it that way.
Soxfest
Koch is getting old fast.
BrandoFan
Left under the pile of latter-inning s***ty misplays is Carlos Lee running through (presumably because no one in his right mind would signal "go") the sign with 1 out. Could have blown the game wide open right there. Damn that shinny, pretty hotdog wrapper... I hate Billy Koch. What a cocky, dumb pitcher. DonkeyKongerko
Replay it looked like Rios was safe. Then again I don't think umpires really felt like stickin around much longer.
BrandoFan
Replay it looked like Rios was safe I thought the cocksucker umpire was sticking it to the Sox. Maybe it's paranoia on my part, but Sox are disliked in AL, and with one of their own being attacked just an inning ago...

I didn't think of it that way, but now that you mention it, that seems logical.
Guest hotsoxchick1
omfg he wasnt attacked... you make it sound like someone went out there and beat the s*** out of him.... he was touched .. nothing more nothing less... the kid who ran out there got a beating for it when they threw him on the ground and put in a few punches...... that ump did not get attacked.. ok... he was approached and touched........thats it..... and yes before you ask, there is a huge difference......... Soxfest
HSC , you are right all the news and websites have ATTACKED UMPIRE as a headline this is getting a little much.
BrandoFan
You should have seen the look on that redneck's face...the play was in front of him but he was too "that's not the was I saw it...beyotch!" about it. Then again, Sox deserved to lose thr game. I am semi-glad.
Mr. Showtime
I'd agree with that HSC. I had the Bulls game on, and I put Baseball Tonight on and they we're talking about the attack on the Umpire as it was happening. I had the Gamboa thing in my head but this wasn't anything close to it at all.

Yeah that's what I was talking about. Kimm was right there and got a great view of it. Not much point of complaining about the call, the games over. Jim Fainter
The Sox simply cannot get Sweeney out in the clutch. He knows it, too. As for Koch, I hope he stays in the bullpen for the rest of the series. We do not need to be swept.
BrandoFan
for Koch, I hope he stays in the bullpen for the rest of the series. We do not need to be swept. But...like...didn't you hear that Koch "wants the ball all the time, it's hard to stop him"? It's a good thing, right?
Grebeck Fan Club
Marte should get the next save situation. Then give Koch the damn ball. Let him pitch in our next 10-0 blowout. That would be tonight.
Steff
What is it about Comiskey that turns a few idiots into real jackasses. I don't see this happening at other stadiums. All stadiums have their idiots, but damn, first attacking a player, now going after an ump. I know all of us are classy and a lot of Sox fans are, but this sucks. At least no one was hurt and Let the Sox shut em down. The fan that approached the ump was wearing a Cub hat. And the one before him was wearing a Wood jersey. Guess the double header drink fest was a bit too much for them.

And the one before him was swinging the jersey around over his head. Did they show them on TV? They usually don't and I didn't set the PVR to record last night. southsider2k5
I was sitting out by the bleachers and saw the fat kid swinging his jersey, but it was inside out when I saw it and didn't see the Wood. As for the other guy, it was the exact opposite side of the field and I really didn't see anything.
