Yes Garland gave up that big 3 run HR but he still had a quality start and really pitched out of a big jam into the 6th to get it. IlliniKrush Posted April 10, 2005 Share Posted April 10, 2005 Garland really pitched well tonight. He was forcing ground balls left and right, and many of the hits he gave up were weak sauce. He really threw the ball well. Even the HR he gave up...the 2 pitches before that were excellent and Stewart just fought em off. Good job Jon, especially forcing the DP. 5 games, 5 good starts. Sweet. While a sweep would be great, it's not a necessity. No pressure. If the we can go 2/3, 2/4, 3/4 in series all season, we're set. Winning two out of three against an underrated Indians team was important, but winning at least two out of three against the three-time defending AL Central champs is huge.
