shadowspy1
Is it me or is J. Santana starting to seem more like a hittable pitcher with and era of about 4 and only 2 games above .500 for his record?
Spiff
QUOTE(shadowspy1 @ Jul 6, 2005 -> 10:09 PM) Is it me or is J. Santana starting to seem more like a hittable pitcher with and era of about 4 and only 2 games above .500 for his record? I'm pretty sure there's somethin wrong with him. He's walking guys a lot more than he was before. April: 33IP 3BB/45K May: 42.1IP 7BB/46K June: 36.2IP 11BB/40K July: 12.1IP 5BB/12K Watching him today, he just couldn't put anyone away. He'd get a batter 0-2 or 1-2, and instead of throwing a filthy changeup he'd leave a fastball over the plate. It seems like he's lost confidence in his control. Benchwarmerjim
I said it before, his mechanics are off a bit. So his fastball is a bit slower, thus making the changeup less devasting, and making him less effective in the strike zone. Today, he pitched pretty good. Just left 2 pitches over the plate, and those 2 pitches hurt him. Edited July 7, 2005 by Benchwarmerjim

Kyyle23
"People close to Bret Boone have been told by the Seattle Mariners second baseman that the Twins would be his first choice if he is traded or becomes a free agent, as expected. Boone, 36, always has been impressed by the way the Twins play and that they have been in the playoffs three consecutive years. Boone believes he would be a terrific fit and would be greatly motivated to play for the Twins." -benmaller.com

WilliamTell
The Twins play the Royals now, maybe the Royals can get a win off them. Anyways all we need to do is keep playing well and it'll be very hard for them to come within a game or two of us.
