fathom
Wow, I was going to say something about A.J. having his head up his ass tonight....and then that s*** happened. This has been an absolutely pathetic display of intensity so far.....we're lucky it's only 3-0 right now.
bjm676
QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 13, 2005 -> 05:43 PM) Wow, I was going to say something about A.J. having his head up his ass tonight....and then that s*** happened. This has been an absolutely pathetic display of intensity so far.....we're lucky it's only 3-0 right now. The sad thing is, it's only the second inning. This has to turn around. FAST. fathom
Hawk blames the wildness by Contreras for the reason he allowed runs, but it was his inability to get out the Indians number 9 hitter which accounted for the first of two, 2-out hits. WHarris1
I know it's early but that was some serious corpseball for 3 innings (Hopes this turns the tides) Cliff Lee with a PERFECT GAME through

CWSGuy406
Interesting -- the Sox as a team have drawn ten walks in just under 70 innings at the plate...

I think he was so effective in his last start because he located his fastball early and often. It's ALL about confidence with the Count.

Good stat, I was hoping someone woudl bring it up. I'm very happy with our record right now, but I'm very concerned with our offense. Too many guys are just easy outs compared with other players at their position.

Understandable, but, when you have one guy that's perfect through three, and another one that's getting roughed up, I think you can toss that out the window. Hmmmmmm...wait a second, maybe I should ask Dusty Baker. Addy: So, Dusty, do you think the dark skin is hurting Contreras out there today? Dusty: Well, um...yeah, well...um, well, I think Lee is um...yeah, doing so well because he is fair skinned and more suited for cold weather.
