witesoxfan
With Travis Johnson having fallen this far, the Broncos take him with the 25th pick, even though IIRC they have brought in rougly 76 defensive linemen this offseason, give or take a couple. DBAHO
Marlin Jackson. They need a CB with Kelly Herndon gone to Seattle.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(DBAH0 @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 12:18 AM) Marlin Jackson. They need a CB with Kelly Herndon gone to Seattle. But Jackson with a 4.6 40 time? I don't like Jackson in the first round at all. I think Justin Miller could be a possibility, along with Fabian Washington.

witesoxfan
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 12:33 AM) The mock draft that I get my draft order from has Jackson listed higher than Washington. Fabian running a 4.25 40 at the combine helped his stock immensely. I have Fabian higher then Marlin right now.
heavyduty
Jason Campbell because Shannahan has to be fed up with Jake Plummer by now.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(heavyduty @ Apr 15, 2005 -> 07:09 AM) Jason Campbell because Shannahan has to be fed up with Jake Plummer by now. Campbell could very easily fall to them in the 2nd...or at the vrey least, they can look at someone like Orton/Walter/Greene in the 2nd round if they feel it necessary. They will have a chance at getting a good young backup QB. Campbell would be a horrible choice at 25, considering most don't even have him as the 3rd best QB in the draft(Smith-Rodgers-Frye-Campbell)

Campbell would be a horrible choice at 25, considering most don't even have him as the 3rd best QB in the draft(Smith-Rodgers-Frye-Campbell) Campbell's stock keeps on rising, but maybe my hatred for Jake Plummer forces me to see this as logical. And, after seeing Charlie Frye play, I don't see what the hype is about this guy, he doesn't have that strong of an arm and is very inaccurate when throwing the deep ball, and that was playing against the s***ty Ball State Defense. Punch and Judy Garland
We are in on Campbell in round two because he don't have a valid backup but we will be in on Matt Jones. Not saying we will take him, but there is a good chance. Now that we have a lot of bodies on the line and LEnny Walls in the fold again, I say we go against conventional wisdom of taking a corner or a 3-4 tweener and grab Jones or make a play at moving up for Williams. The Broncos might additionally look at the TE position which would caus them to flip Putzier to the Jets. I see them searching for an impact player on the offensive side of the ball.
