flippedoutpunk
José has half as many stolen bases as Scott Podsednik
Punch and Judy Garland
QUOTE(JUGGERNAUT @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) Joe was 0-3 going into the 9th today. He got an IF hit that resulted in moving a run into 3rd that Jose would not have. At best that point is debatable and I'm not sure if it even matters. Let's not fool ourselves into thinking that infield hits are a big part of Joe's game. They aren't much of Jose's game either but I would bet that Jose gets more of them. Still, I don't think it really matters.
GoodAsGould
Whats that put Crede now... 8 game hitting streak... all he needs is 20 more
BridgeportHeather
Joe Crede...Jose Valentin... Jose Valentin...Joe Crede... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... My answer would be.... GREG NORTON!!!
WilliamTell
Jose, only for the sole reason he bats lefty now.
flippedoutpunk
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 09:14 PM) Jose, only for the sole reason he bats lefty now. doesnt he bat switch again?
Rowand44
QUOTE(flippedoutpunk @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 09:38 PM) doesnt he bat switch again? I saw him bat righty and lefty vs a lefty in the same game last week but I do believe for the most part he's back to switch hitting.
witesoxfan
At the same price, I would take Valentin over Crede in a heartbeat. Very underrated defensively, has been a clutch player his entire career, a very good leader, a very smart ballplayer all around. When considering Jose @ 3.5 mill, and Crede at $500K, if that...I'm gonna take Crede in a heartbeat. Or maybe I will take Valentin in the first half and Crede in the second? I'm not sure yet
Texsox
White Sox Roster Magic Formula But by having Crede we got Crede made about $350,000 last season. Jose about 10X that. This season Crede moves up to $400,000. The money we saved at third got us
ISF
Crede. They both hit .220, but Crede will make plenty less errors in the field over the course of the season. He also makes contact more often. Valentin has turned into Jose Hernandez.
YASNY
Jose's time here was done. He needed to move on. Crede is my pick.
Capn12
QUOTE(BridgeportHeather @ Apr 17, 2005 -> 11:05 PM) Joe Crede...Jose Valentin... Jose Valentin...Joe Crede... Hmmmmmmmmmmmm... My answer would be.... GREG NORTON!!! To quote the Hawkaroo... "NORTON!!! You're da greatest!!!" better yet quoting Hawk quoting Ralph Cramden, but oh well.
