Ozzie...I promise not to rip you for the rest of the day if you just stick with Buehrle in the 9th.

Yep, let Buehrle win or lose this game. Only way he should come out is if it's obvious he has nothing left in the tank.

It's really easy to say now, but why wasn't Paulie on the line?

I thought the same thing. With Buehrle's slow stuff, there was a decent chance that Ichiro would pull it right down the line.

Guys, best pitched game I have ever seen by a White Sox pitcher, he was just brilliant today.

I have seen a lot of White Sox games since the mid 1960's and in terms of smart pitching coupled with great location and great stuff ... this was the best.

What a treat it was to watch this game, a superb pitching performance by Mark Buehrle.

:cheers

Unless Minny gives me Nathan, Rincon, & Romero for Shingo, Hermanson, & Marte I'll keep Mark & they can keep Santana.

Mark proved again today why he is the franchise player for the White Sox.

The pen had been roughed up the last 2 nights. The best remedy is a day off. Dr Mark does it again. Santana doesn't go the distance like Mark does. Look at the avg' IP/gm between them. Even better it seems like Mark is getting better with age. The Summer of 2004 might be the best Santana ever pitches. It certainly one for the record books. But Mark looks poised to have his best year ever this year. His 12K's over 9IP today are just as bit impressive as Santana's 11K's over 7IP earlier this week.

I know JR doesn't believe in long term contracts but Mark is certainly the safest bet for one. Don't ever give him the chance to wear a Cardinal uniform.

There is no breathing room this year. That AAA starter just went out & pitched his first quality start for Twins at the Jake. Mully made it interesting but Nathan shut the door.

The next 3 games matchup wise favor the WhiteSox (Garcia, Contreras, & Hernandez) are favored to win those games. Here's a great chance to make a statement before we say goodbye to the Twinkees until after the AS break. Let's get it done!

What an awesome game to go to...I've got both Konerko and Ichiro on my fantasy league, and Buehrle punched Seattle's lights out. Buehrle's a man with a mission, and that mission might just lead us to the "Promised Land," as well as land him a bid for Cy Young. What an all-out DOMINATING performance from that game...
