T R U
TO does deserve to be paid, I mean come on he set a lot of single season records for the Eagles and is one of the most dominate WR in the game.. I have nothing against this since NFL contracts arent guaranteed.. If owners can cut players like its no big deal and not honor a contract I dont see why TO cant be paid like he deserves to be paid
Palehosefan
So if T.O. has a subpar year next year the owner can then cut his salary right?
T R U
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Apr 16, 2005 -> 05:18 PM) So if T.O. has a subpar year next year the owner can then cut his salary right? Yep, they can cut him and not owe him a dime for whats left on the rest of his contract..
Palehosefan
Whoever hires an agent that negotiates voidable contracts deserves what happens to them.
jackie hayes
It's not that the owners fail to honor the contract -- the contract makes clear that the team can terminate the deal. It's not honoring a contract by doing something that the contract says it can do? The owners can cut the player, the player can hold out, it's just a game. Neither side needs to be right or wrong. Punch and Judy Garland
I'm with Bayless on everything....nearly everything. I do take issue with hi saying that Owens hurt the Eagles int eh Superbowl. Did he see the game? Owens was very good and more Greg Lewis over Owens would have hurt the Eagles-it's laughable. My other issue is with Bayless saying it's not personal-it;'s business. Bayless says this but his essays about Bonds, Owens, and Emmitt Smith just to name a few are often shoots on their character and them as persons. I have a hard time buying the personal thing. The truth is that Bayless has made the personal, business over the years
