A--1,593.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Game Story BIRMINGHAM, Alabama (Ticker) -- Neal Cotts won his third straight start and combined with two relievers on a five-hitter with 15 strikeouts as the Birmingham Barons defeated the Mobile Baybears, 4-2. Cotts (3-0), who pitched 10 scoreless innings with 16 strikeouts in his first two outings, allowed two runs and four hits over five innings. He walked four and struck out nine, including six in a row between the first and third innings. Tetsu Yofu followed with two innings of one-hit relief and four strikeouts and Royce Ring pitched the final two innings for his second save. Scott Bikowski and Guillermo Reyes had two hits each for Birmingham, which has won two of the first three in this series. Vince Faison had two hits and drove in two runs for Mobile, which has scored two runs or less in six of its last nine games.
