Charlotte is 1-10. Stewart got rocked, Munoz gave up another run in 1.1 IP (7.04 ERA), the Knights scored 1 run. On the upside Burke went 2-3 to get over the Mendoza Line and Anderson went 1-2 with a walk, 2B, and a run. Fields more good relief. He looks like he could get a shot with the big league club sometime this year if he keeps this up (1.29 ERA). Box Score

The 'Hogs rallied for 4 runs in the last 3 innings to win 4-1. Valido is scorching, 3-5 with a 2B today, .367 on the season. Collaro and Schnurstein manage 2 hits each. Haeger continues to pitch well. 6 IP, 1 R, 7 K, 1 BB, 8 hits, 1.93 ERA. Is he still a knuckler to anyone's knowledge? Box Score

Gio finally gave up a run this season, and it came in a 3-0 loss. 5 IP, 3 R (2 ER), 9 K, 1 BB, 3 hits. Box Score

BARONS 3 Jacksonville 2

W-Honel (1-1) L- Billingsley (0-1)

Honel 5 IP 5H 1R 6BB 3K's

Billingsley 6.2 IP 4H 3R 2BB 6K's

Good-Clutch Bases Loaded Triple by Jon Aceves which plated all the run the Barons would score tonight. Rogo made a awsome catch leaning into the dugout in the 1st. The Barons Bull pen with the exception of Pollok has now thrown 25 scorless innings in a row dating back to the 10th.

Bad- Dwayne Pollok continues to be crushed by opposing hitters bailed out today by a great relay throw from Andy Gonzalez which cut down the tying runner at the plate.

Notes- Game ended when a Jacksonville runner misread a liner that was hit by James Loney to Reyes at second Todd Donavon thought the ball bounced and went to the plate he beat the throw to the plate barely but when Chris Stewart threw to Josh Feilds at 3rd the Umpire raised his right arm siginaling the end of the ball game. Those kind of mistakes are not acceptable at AA ball when the 1st base Ump is standing 25 ft from the 1st base coach and is clearly siginaling out.

Honel beat Billingsley. Betcha thought that wouldn't happen.

Well it was more like Jacksonville Beating Billingsley. They had 6 walks from honel and several 3-0 3-1 counts where they hit popups. Lost 2 runners on the bases and the 3 runs we got were becuase of a misplay in RF it should have been one run scoring instead of 3.

just for numbers wise he threw 82 pitches today (37 Strikes) (45 Balls)  and was missing badly

How was his stuff?

Velocity?

Sounds like his command was horrible.

Charlotte might be the worst team in the International League.

1-10 is pathetic.

Might be? They lost again today and are 3 games behind the 2nd to last place team in the league. They are the worst team in the league. However, I remember the Warthogs started something like 0-7 or 1-7 last year. They bounced back the rest of that half and made the playoffs the 2nd half with some more talent from promotions and the draft. Unfortunately for the Knights they don't have 2 halves to wipe the slate clean.

I was giving them a break due to it being so early in the year, but as of right now, they are the worst team. And they don't seem to have much of a chance to get better either.

They won't. There offense is atrocious and the staff is not doing anybetter. I figured the vets like Stewie and Adkins would help that rotation out, plus they have what on paper looks to be a good pen.

But that offense...UGLY. And Arnie Munoz has been ugly too.

Stuff was had good break to it when he got ahead in the count but he was behind so many hitters he couldn't use it much. Velocity Kris hit 91 with a fastball a couple of times but most of night he was in the 85-87 range. And his command was flat awful from throwing it over batters heads to 56ft pitches, Had a lot of walks (6) and had a lot of bailouts on bad pitches most likely because Jacksonville didn't have there legs yet after that long trip. He was 3-1 to 10 batters and 3-0 to 8 hitters.
