Rivas never tagged Rowand after he slid past 2nd. Rowand should have been safe, but that's a very tough call for the umpire to have to watch both the tag and the hand on the base. Doesn't really matter anymore. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No, the only tag he put on him was when he was sliding in. No tag whatsoever after he overslid. Bad call, plain and simple. Hermanson struggles against lefty batters, and Marte's one of the best in baseball against lefties. If you're going to use him as a loogy, at least use him properly. I think Hermanson should be left in, and he can be taken out if he struggles for either Shingo or Marte. Shingo can't be allowed to face Mauer in the 9th.
