Jordan4life_2007
Did anybody doubt that last shot by Ben was going in? I don't know what it is, but when the game is on the line, he's SPECIAL. As far as the rookie of the year argument. It doesn't really matter that much. Ben has EASILY had the biggest impact of all the top rookies. We might not even be in the playoffs if not for Ben's countless 4th quarter heroics. I hope he wins it, if not, who cares. I'm lookin forward to game 1 of the playoffs in Chicago. Damn that sounds nice.
DBAHO
Is anyone actually going to give Dwight Howard a chance here? There are definitely some factors worth considering to possibly go for him over Emeka; 1) Shoots 52% from the field, while Okafor shoots 45%. 2) Rebounds are almost the same, while Okafor would get more minutes. 3) Is averaging 16.3 points and 10.3 rebounds this month, and 13.9 points and 11.7 rebounds last month. 4) He's not the #1 option on his team like Okafor is. Oh, there's no question about it. Howard and Okafor are above and beyond anyone else in the realistic ROY race. Anyone who questions that is either a Bulls fan, a casual NBA fan who only pays attention to scoring, a dumbass Bulls beat writer looking to sell papers, etc. He has his moments, but when I do my best Ben Gordon impression out on the court, I'm dribbling the ball off my motherf***ing knee-cap. I'm never looking to pass, and when I do, that s*** is never on target. I'm looking to throw up impossible shots over double teams. Guys are burning me left and right when I'm on D. Give me the ROY and 6th Man awards, pretty please? Because I can score! Ooooohhh yeeeeaaaahhhh! I am soooo freaking clutch! Where's my gun? GoodAsGould
Dwight Howard is good but heres what goes against him. He is on a losing team, and if your going to pick a player regardless of how their team played then Okafur is the better choice. On the other hand if you pick a player on how well his team did and a course him being a big part of it than Gordon beats Howard because Gordon is on a winning team.... either way Howard isnt going to win... I see Okafur with the ROY and Gordon with the Sixth Man.

I score 15 pts a game because our second option is Kareem Rush. I average 10 boards a game because my team is full of swing men and I am the only one that rebounds. Put me on the bulls and watch my minutes and production cut in half.

I'd take Emeka over Eddy I'll tell you that much. I'd also take Dwight Howard over Eddy. Both are superior defensive players and while they aren't as good offensively as Curry both are capable offensive players (especially Emeka). Huh, I've long been a Curry backer. I'm just saying I'd rather have the two that have been mentioned in this thread (Howard/Okafor). They are by far more complete players. DBAHO
QUOTE(rangercal @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 06:47 AM) I dont know. I think Tyson would have emekas numbers in charlotte. Tyson doesn't start. Tyson also doesn't have much of a low post game right now, except for a runnin hook shot (I think I read that in one of Sean Deveney's columns). He's got the perfect role on this team right now, and if his low post game develops and he stays healthy he's going to be one hell of a PF. Okafor would start in Chicago at the moment, and put up good numbers still, although his scoring would go down a little.
GoodAsGould
I think Chandler would put up Emeka type numbers too in Charlotte maybe couple less points but like 4 more rebounds.
DBAHO
Talking about Charlotte, here's a guy I would love Orlando to go after. Melvin Ely. Discuss.
