SleepyWhiteSox
Some friendly advice would be appreciated for the final day of fantasy basketball. I'm in the final of a friendly, no-money league that I would like to win for bragging rights. My problem is that everybody is playing on that last day. Here's how I am considering going. My reasoning is that those guys are the more sure bets to play because Okafor is hurt, Jamison MIGHT not play a back-to-back, especially if their playoff spot is set, and Ginobili also MIGHT get a day off... My biggest 'dilemna' is if I should put in Ginobili instead of Alston since he's the go-to guy without Duncan. Is Jamison a better choice than Howard since he might put up more points or is he too risky? Do I consider putting in Okafor? There's also tomorrow, so I might post what the score is after tomorrow.. knightni
How I would set the lineup: PG S. Nash (Pho - PG)@Sac 9:30 pm SG L. Hughes (Was - SG)@NY 6:30 pm G M. Ginobili (SA - SG)@Min 7:00 pm SF L. James (Cle - PG,SF)@Tor 6:00 pm PF S. Marion (Pho - F,SF)@Sac 9:30 pm F Q. Richardson (Pho - GF,SG)@Sac 9:30 pm C Z. Ilgauskas (Cle - C)@Tor 6:00 pm Util A. Howard (Orl - PF)Mia 6:00 pm Washington will still have a shot at the #4 spot, so Jamison will play. Ginobli will have good minutes, Howard probably won't. IMO, Alston won't play a lot either. He will start Reggie Miller on "Reggie Miller Day" probably; so "3pt made" might be difficult to win. knightni
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:14 PM) Well thanks. Well.. I guess Washington DIDN'T have a shot to win the #4 spot on the last day. I'd still play Jamison though.

SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 20, 2005 -> 09:17 PM) I guess I f***ed up on those picks. My bad. I stuck with mine and it seems to be working. Luckily, Jamal went off and hit 7 three's. I still have a shot at winning that. And yeah, I figured Jamison wouldn't play much, and Howard put up nice numbers. It wouldn't have mattered putting Alston or Ginobili since they both put up s***ty numbers... thanx anyways

SleepyWhiteSox
QUOTE(knightni @ Apr 21, 2005 -> 11:44 AM) Okaor went off though. Yeah, but I was all set w/ rebounds and blocks. The alston 3 actually helped a little... Anyways, I did win. Thanks for the support.
