Wong & Owens
So, I was at the game last night-- 1st row in left field-- and I was appalled at the idiotic behavior of the majority of the so-called fans in that section. 4 morons behind me heckled Shannon Stewart EVERY INNING with clever taunts like "Why don't the Twins get a f***ing real right fielder?"(Stewart plays left field) or, "Stewart sucks as bad as the Cubs." Then, of course, the endless stream of "Cubs Suck" chants. To all you drillrods who insist on obsessing over the Cubs-- DO NOT GO TO ANYMORE SOX GAMES. DO NOT EVEN WATCH THEM ON T.V. LIKE THE GUY WHO INSISTS ON GAY-BASHING AT EVERY TURN DUE TO HIS HATRED OF HIS OWN DEEP-ROOTED HOMOSEXUAL DESIRES, YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY SELF-LOATHING CUBS FANS, AND I'd APPRECIATE IF YOU'D STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY TEAM. Finally, the unacceptable practice of throwing the opposing team's home run balls back. Undoubtably started by one of the CUBS SUCK chanting cheeba monkeys, this is a WRIGLEY FIELD TRADITION, so if you really consider yourself a Sox fan, keep the ball if you're lucky to grab one. Or, give it to the nearest youngster-- you'll make his year. Or, take the ball and throw it at the nearest jagoff chanting "Cubs Suck" during the late innings of a tie ballgame between the SOX and OUR biggest rival over the last 3-4 years. f***heads. Thank You.

EvilJester99
I completely agree with you, if you catch a ball you should give it to a youngster. It will make his day for sure. It is really idiotic to throw a ball back, how many times do you actually get to catch one. For those morons who always chant "Cubs Suck", most people know this but when you are playing your biggest rival, you may want to focus on them instead of an NL team in which has little to do with your own team. RockRaines
I was also in left field, I felt the same way last night, not to mention the constant throwing of peanuts at the twins fans behind me. Half of the s*** that was thrown hit me. There is a way to be competetive without being an asshole. I guess this might just be a huge problem on half price night. rangercal
My buddy and I walked through our entire row of people to get to our seats (our seats were the last 2 at the end) realizing this bone head move I was apologizeing to every person in my row who had to get up so we could get through. One was a cub fan and he made a comment ( what do you expect from sox fans) That cub fan was taunting stewart " shannon is a little girl!" ect ect 1 why the hell is a cub fan taunting the twins? 2 why the hell is he even at the game? He has season tickets.. makes it to about 50 games. Last year he spent most of the season with his arm in a cast. He has 2 sons that are usually with him. Good friends with and always talking to Greg Walker. We use his seats 5 or 6 times a year... I was just curious if you know him. He talks to everyone out there. Real social butterfly. Guest JimH
From reading here and over at WSI, it was a nasty drunken crowd last nite. I try to avoid Monday and Tuesday nites, but went to a couple last year and it was an ugly environment. It would be nice to say it's all the fault of the goofy Cub fans who come over to start trouble, but that's not the whole story. There is definitely a large white trash element present on these 1/2 price nights. I see packs of young people, mostly wearing their dirty baseball caps backwards or sideways, literally bumping into people and looking to cause trouble. I'm not picking on young people here because stupidity has no age restrictions, but there is a huge poplulation of dirtbags at the ballpark on those nights. It'll be interesting to see how it goes tonite with the 2 for 1 special in the upper deck only. The Sox need to look long and hard at this issue. Controlled Chaos
QUOTE(sec159row2 @ Apr 19, 2005 -> 10:03 AM) monday half price nights is always "skokie" night.. tuesday is "trailer park" night.. I know this crap, yet I'm still bringing my one-year-old tonight. .. like I said it could be an adventure... What does "skokie" night mean? Either way..The point is whether it be 'cubs fans' 'white trash' or 'gang bangers' they are all assholes. Security needs to step it up...and kick people out with a lot more regularity. Id like to think the 'good fans' out weigh the bad fans...So if someone is being an asshole...call him on it...and stick together. On another note I will never understand why a cub fan comes to sox park with his jersey on...just stupid IMO
